VTG Rail Russia (OOO "VTG"), a Russian subsidiary of the leading wagon rental and rail logistics company VTG AG, signed another contract in October with AO Transmash (AG "Transportnoye Mashinostroyeniye") for the purchase of 250 container wagons (model 13-9744- 06) finished. The first container wagons will get delivered in 2021, and the full completion of the order is scheduled by early 2022.
The VTG Rail Russia fleet now incorporates 439 flat wagons from this producer, including pocket wagons that are unique and innovative for the Russian market. The recently requested container wagons have a loading limit of up to 73 t and are suitable for carrying tank containers with a deadweight of 36 t. Strapping devices and additional fastening options on the frame secure the container in the middle. The wagons are made to last up to 32 years.
Olga Yakimova, General Director VTG Rail Russia emphasizes: “In Transmash we have found a strategic partner who can offer an optimal price-performance ratio even under the current volatile market conditions. It is our goal to further expand this cooperation both in Russia and on an international level."
