Ukrzaliznytsia received 15 devices for access to the satellite Internet Starlink. The systems were provided to the railway workers by one of the largest Ukrainian IT companies, N-iX. The company received ten first-generation Starlink devices and five second-generation Starlink devices.
Ukrainian Railway was the first state-owned company that began using Starlink during the war. The first station was transferred to UZ back in early March.
"I thank all our partners and the business community for their support of Ukrzaliznytsia in this difficult time. The railway was the first state company to start using Starlink during the war. We received the first station at the beginning of March, right after Mikhail Fedorov," noted the head of Ukrzaliznytsia board Oleksandr Kamyshin.
He also added that these systems are used for stable and reliable connection of critical systems, which ensure the operation of the railway. "We have more digital projects ahead of us. We have no one but us to renovate everything that was destroyed by the war. It is an opportunity to create new modern system solutions," he noted.
Starlink is a global satellite system for access to the Internet in remote parts of the world. It operates through satellites placed in orbit. This Internet ensures a fast and uninterrupted connection and cannot be disconnected or broken.
