British Steel has secured a historic export deal for West Africa and the largest order for railway sleepers in its history. Under the contract with Compagnie des Bauxites de Guinée (CBG), the company is committed to supplying 20,000 tonnes of 436 shaped steel sleepers over the next year.

According to Jérôme Bonef, British Steel's Export Sales Manager, Rail, the long-term cooperation with these companies helps British Steel to provide a complete global supply chain, including steel-processed sleepers and rail fasteners.
