The Ministry of Infrastructure sent 11 official letters on March 2nd to the biggest and the most influential organizations in aviation, maritime, rail construction, and tourism with a request to exclude Russia from international organizations.

The UIC (International Union of Railways) suspended the Russian and Belarusian railways from participation in the organization until the Ukraine situation returns to a peaceful state.


The department addressed the following organizations:

- International Bridge, Tunnels and Turnpike Association (IBTTA)

- Airports Council International (ACI)

- United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)

- International Union of Railways (UIC)

- International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)

- UK Department for Transport

- United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE)

- Danube Commission

- International Air Transport Association (IATA)

- U.S. Federal Aviation Administration

- International Transport Forum (ITF)
