Today, it is no secret that in today's changing climate, switching to environmentally friendly transportation is vital to solving environmental problems, which unfortunately continue to worsen. Recently, Siemens Mobility together with DB (Deutsche Bahn), presented a joint plan for a new generation of Siemens Mireo Plus H hydrogen trains, which will be the ideal solution for the green course.

Siemens Mobility's inventor of the year, Dr. De-Niang Maria Peymandar, recently shared her opinion on the companies' innovative project: "It was really a big day for us, as we saw the new hydrogen train Mireo Plus H finally leave the plant. Not only because we put a lot of effort into it as a product but also because we really tried to find what true sustainability will look like in the years ahead. As an inventor, I focus on hydrogen because I deeply believe it is the solution that we have all been looking for. But additionally, as a mother, I am personally very concerned with the questions of the next generation, how climate change will affect their lives and what life quality they will have as they grow older. My part in this project is a small contribution to their future."

The importance of the Siemens Mireo Plus H project has previously been expressed by Siemens Mobility and DB.

"Siemens Mobility and Deutsche Bahn will jointly develop a new generation of the hydrogen transport system. It is a complete system consisting of a hydrogen-powered vehicle and fitting infrastructure. This includes a new innovative filling station that can refuel the vehicle in just 15 minutes," said Siemens Mobility CEO Michael Peter.

"We need to reduce fossil fuel usage to zero. Only in this way can DB be climate-neutral in 2050. Then we will not operate a single vehicle with conventional diesel propulsion," commented DB member Sabina Jeschke.
