Sinara - Transport Machines holding (STM, part of the Sinara Group) presented a high-speed fitting platform, unique in terms of technological characteristics, for transporting containers with an operating speed of 140 km / h, manufactured according to the terms of reference of the Federal Freight Company Joint Stock Company (FGK JSC).
The project for the creation of new high-speed platforms is being carried out by the RPM Group ("Remputmash") and VNIKTI, which is part of the Holding's perimeter, at the request of JSC FGK. The Kaluga plant "Remputmash" will produce a new type of rolling stock. Inspection of a prototype flat car model 13-6704 took place at the production site of the Kalugaputmash plant (an enterprise of STM Holding). The symbolic red ribbon was cut by the Director of the Private Label Track Equipment Division - General Director of RPM Group Kirill Epshtein, Deputy General Director for Technical Development - Chief Engineer of FGK JSC Andrey Shevtsov and Deputy General Director for Private Label Sales - General Director of the Private Trade House STM Anton Zubikhin.
“We have all the necessary competencies in the design and manufacture of high-speed rolling stock. These are electric trains "Lastochka", which develop a speed of up to 160 km / h, and railroad cars AM-140, which pick up speed up to 140 km / h. And the creation of a fitting platform is another milestone that we have taken. This platform will allow Russian Railways to transport containers from China to Europe in seven days. We will cope with this task,” said the head of the Private Label Trade House Anton Zubikhin.
The new 80-foot, high-speed, six-axle fitting platform uses an innovative three-axle bogie. This and a number of unique structural advantages allow it to be more carrying capacity with less load on infrastructure - 20 tons per axle, thus, it will be possible to transport two 40-foot containers on it.
“The main components and assemblies of the platform were manufactured at the production sites of the Holding,” said Kirill Epshtein, General Director of RPM Group. - The Kaluga plant "Remputmash" places an order for the manufacture of a bogie at the Lyudinovo diesel locomotive plant, "Kalugaputmash" takes over the manufacture of the frame and the main welding operations, the final assembly is done by the Kaluga plant "Remputmash". So the final product is a synergy of the best competences of the Holding's production sites. "
“The project to create a high-speed platform car for the transportation of containerized cargo at speeds up to 140 km / h is being implemented in accordance with the Innovative Development Program of JSC FGK for the period up to 2025,” explained Andrey Shevtsov. - It is planned that in the future such platforms will be used for the transportation of goods in the direction of the Far East - the European part of Russia, for the transit of China - Europe for the transportation of delicate goods with high added value at a speed comparable to the movement of passenger trains. The implementation of this service will allow the creation of a new high-margin product for the market on the Russian railways network. "
In July-August, prototypes of the platform will undergo trials at the experimental ring in Shcherbinka. Here they will operate at a speed of 120 km / h. After that, the platforms will go to the high-speed test site Belorechenskaya - Maikop of the North Caucasian Railway, where they will operate at a speed of 140 km / h. The tests will be carried out under load - with loaded containers. Completion of preliminary acceptance and certification tests, as well as obtaining a certificate, are planned for the fourth quarter of 2021. We add that the innovative platform will be presented to the general public for the first time as part of a comprehensive static exposition of private labels at the International Railway Salon “PRO //MOTION. Expo” in August 2021.
