Alstom has secured a €1 billion contract to supply SNCF Voyageurs with 60 additional new-generation RER trains for lines RER D and RER E of the Île-de-France network. The order, funded entirely by Île-de-France Mobilités, is the first option in the framework contract signed in 2017 between SNCF Voyageurs and Alstom. The new order brings the total number of RER NG trains to 131, supporting Île-de-France Mobilités' policy to modernize the region's rolling stock.
