At the 2024 German Digital Summit, Schwarz Digits, the IT arm of the Schwarz Group, and Deutsche Bahn AG officially announced the launch of DataHub Europe, a platform designed to consolidate and process high-quality data for training Artificial Intelligence (AI) models.
The platform brings together data from various industries and media and aims to create AI solutions that can be used across various sectors. This initiative seeks to make data available for companies to develop AI in a secure and legally compliant infrastructure.
Dr. Volker Wissing, Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport, said, "DataHub Europe closes a crucial gap in the EU by providing high-quality data for training AI. German companies have proven that we can combine innovation and implementation power." The platform ensures that data partners retain sovereignty over their data while complying with strict legal standards such as GDPR and the EU AI Act.
