Budimex keeps developing urban mobility, having announced the conclusion of the underground park construction and the traffic system overhaul at the Rzeszów Transport Centre. The project, estimated at PLN 66 million gross (approx. EUR 15,2 million), marks a significant step in integrating rail transport and city buses with vehicular movement.
This project has been executed under the 'Design and Build' formula. The modern transport nexus, one of the grandest ventures in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship's capital, is designed to streamline the commute for residents and visitors alike.

The construction encompasses a single-story underground car park stretching across nearly 4,000 m2, equipped with a Kiss&Ride zone offering 110 parking spaces, including dedicated spots for taxis and bicycles, thereby fostering a seamless connection with the railway station. "The Rzeszów Transport Centre will serve as a modern landmark for the city while providing pragmatic solutions for transport accessibility," remarked Jakub Nagraba, General Construction Director at Budimex SA.
According to Nagraba, the execution of this colossal project in the heart of Rzeszów posed logistical challenges, especially given its location in a conservation zone. To navigate this, the company employed advanced laser scanning technology to monitor the project's impact on surrounding structures, ensuring minimal disruption to the city's daily life and maintaining the flow of traffic and pedestrian movement.

Beyond the construction of the car park, Budimex's role as the general contractor extended to revamping pedestrian pathways, roadways, and the Main Railway Station, including a transformation of certain building areas and comprehensive renovation works. The introduction of an Intelligent Video Surveillance System and a Parking System further underscores the project's emphasis on security and efficiency.
