Russia strikes back in a supposed attempt to maintain the stability of its market

The Russian government has approved a list of imported goods and equipment that is now temporarily prohibited from being exported from Russia until the end of 2022. According to the statement released by the Russian government, this measure is made to maintain stability on the Russian market.

There are over 200 products on this list, technological, telecommunication and medical equipment, vehicles, agricultural machinery, electric equipment, as well as railway cars and locomotives, containers, turbines, metal, and stone cutting machines, video displays, projectors, consoles, and switchboards. The export of all the goods included on the list is suspended to all countries with exception when it comes to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

Furthermore, the Russian government suspended the export of several types of timber and timber products to states that are taking hostile actions against Russia, also until the end of 2022.
