Today in Lubin, the new single-system electric locomotive Gama Marathon with an auxiliary motor was handed over to the company POL-MIEDŹ TRANS.
The 111Ed or Gama Marathon locomotive is a modern four-axle electric locomotive with an internal combustion engine, which allows shunting activities outside the overhead contact line and allows servicing of non-electrified railway tracks. The project is co-financed by European funds. "Purchase of new wagons with platforms and locomotives for freight transport in intermodal transport from POL-MIEDŹ TRANS Sp. z.o. o. In Lubin" under the Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020.
Thanks to the investments made, POL-MIEDŹ TRANS can offer a wider range of services within the railway transport, allowing not only to optimize transport costs but also to have a positive impact on the environment and transport safety under the slogan of the company - "Safe. On-time. Right on the spot. The 111Ed Gama Marathon locomotive, received long before the contract expired, fits perfectly into the current transport needs for intermodal transport, said Grzegorz Gorczycki, Director of the Railway Department, representative of POL -MIEDŹ TRANS.
