The railway station in Czaplinek will bear a new symbolic name for one year – the DoPaliw Company Station. This is the result of support for a noble initiative – the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP).
The new symbolic name of the station, offered for auction by Polish State Railways during this year’s WOŚP Finale, was won by BM Solutions sp. z o.o., a company operating in the field of fuel storage and distribution solutions. For the entire year, the Czaplinek railway station will symbolically be known as the DoPaliw Company Station. A commemorative plaque was placed on the station's façade and unveiled by Alan Beroud, CEO of PKP S.A.; Paweł Lisiewicz, Member of the Management Board of PKP S.A.; Jerzy Owsiak, President of the WOŚP Foundation; and Wojciech Mikołajczyk, CEO of BM Solutions.

"After years, Polish State Railways has returned to playing together with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity – and I say this with great satisfaction. This year, we raised funds together to support pediatric oncology and hematology, and nothing is more important than the health and safety of our children. I am pleased to witness the ceremonial closure of the last auction from the previous WOŚP Finale, and I can already declare that railway workers will be playing with Jurek Owsiak again next year," said Alan Beroud, CEO of PKP S.A.

The naming ceremony took place just before the start of the Pol'and'Rock Festival, organized by the WOŚP Foundation to thank volunteers and all those who support its January Finale. The festival was held from July 31 to August 3 on the grounds of the former airport in Czaplinek-Broczyno. Railway companies also joined the efforts supporting the festival. Carriers – PKP Intercity and POLREGIO – increased the number of trains to the festival. Meanwhile, WARS, together with PKP S.A., organised a special Railway for Summer zone at the Czaplinek station from July 30 to August 3.
This is just one of many actions by Polish State Railways S.A. and PKP Group companies actively supporting WOŚP. The collaboration between PKP and WOŚP is part of a relief campaign initiated by the PKP Group in September 2024 after a flood struck southwestern Poland. On January 26 of this year, during the 33rd WOŚP Finale, two special trains were launched from the opposite ends of Poland – from Hel and Zakopane – heading to the Finale in Warsaw. Ticket proceeds were donated to the 33rd WOŚP Finale. Onboard the trains were health zones, activity zones for children, and a special area to meet actors, athletes, and internet personalities. Passengers could also enjoy healthy snacks prepared by WARS.

PKP S.A. also participated in auctions for WOŚP. Apart from the unique opportunity to name the Czaplinek station, other items up for auction included a vintage railway clock from the 1960s, a clock from the Kościerzyna locomotive depot, and meetings with travelers Monika Witkowska and Marek Kamiński held onboard PKP trains going to the WOŚP Finale. Additionally, PKP Intercity donated a unique BALTIC EXPRESS locomotive model for auction, while PKP LHS auctioned a ride in a locomotive cab.
