The modern Service Centre of Pomorskie Przedsiębiorstwo Mechaniczno-Torowe sp. z o.o. in Gdańsk, a company within the PKP Polskie Linii Kolejowe S.A. Capital Group, will ensure better maintenance for machinery and vehicles, including efficient track work, beginning in 2025.
The service centre will include a periodic repair hall for multifunctional and heavy-track machinery. The design work, valued at over PLN 2.9 million gross, is currently underway, with construction planned for 2023/2024 and operations starting in Q3 2025.

Covering an area of 11,500 m2, the Service Centre will accommodate five tracks inside the hall and will be equipped with photovoltaic panels, heat pumps, and recuperation capabilities. The investment is directly related to the expanding machine park of the PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. Capital Group, which requires specialized service positions due to its innovative equipment.

The construction project is being developed using modern BIM design technology, allowing for efficient information collection, storage, and use, as well as real-time technical agreement and identification of potential clashes between the contracting authority and the contractor.
