Systra has won and concluded a contract with PKP Polish Railway Lines, under which an engineering consulting group in the mobility sector will develop the project documentation for the modernization of railway line 273 in the Księgnice - Brzeg Dolny railway section of Wrocław.
The contact includes modernization of the main connection point of Lower Silesia with the seaports of Szczecin and Świnoujście on the Baltic Sea coast, reconstruction of the railway bridge over the Orda river, which will increase the capacity, as well as the design of a 3 km section of the railway line, which includes modernization of the trackbed, drainage and culverts, overhead contact network, railway signaling, telecommunications infrastructure and infrastructure of non-motorized power supply.
Thanks to the modernization of the Księgnice - Brzeg Dolny rail section, freight trains will be able to move at 100 km/h and passenger trains at 120 km/h. The project is part of the "Works on the railway line C-E 59 on the Wrocław-Brochów/Grabieszyn-Głogów section
