Round-the-clock tunnel work is underway in the coastal region of Slovenia. Workers are excavating and hauling material even at night.
The photographs show activities related to the second track project, specifically the construction of the Lokev tunnel pipeline. EuroAsphalt is carrying out the work. The investor is the Slovenian state-owned company 2TDK, whose task is to carry out all the necessary activities both in the preparation and construction phase of the second track and in the management phase during the concession contract. After 45 years, when the concession contract expires, the Republic of Slovenia will own all the public railway infrastructure constituting the second track, as well as all the equipment and facilities necessary for its smooth operation.
