METRANS has launched two new rail connections with Croatia and Serbia, making them regular in the company's schedule. In this way, it will serve the three main ports of the Adriatic.
These are the rail lines connecting METRANS' HUB terminal in Budapest with the port of Rijeka in Croatia, launched earlier this month, and Indija in Serbia, to which the second train was sent on June 25.

METRANS has thus created a triangle between Hungary, Croatia, and Serbia, as freight can now travel directly in direct transit not only between Rijeka-Indija and Budapest but also in both directions between them, bypassing Budapest.
The Indija terminal, the first in Serbia for METRANS, has been operated by the company since the end of March after acquiring a majority stake in Adria Rail, which had previously operated the terminal. According to METRANS, Indija can also receive trains from Koper according to customers' wishes.
