Hitachi Rail has signed a framework agreement with Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL) to design and deliver digital signaling of Bettembourg and Dudelange stations on the Luxembourg railway network.
This agreement with the national railway company of Luxembourg marks the latest milestone in a long-term partnership with Hitachi Rail aimed at modernizing the country’s railway infrastructure. As part of this framework, Hitachi Rail will be responsible for the development, project planning, delivery, installation, and commissioning of interlocking systems featuring ETCS Level 1 Full Supervision and simplified trackside light signaling for the modernization of Bettembourg and Dudelange stations on the Luxembourg railway network.

The new signaling system will enable digital communications between the track and the train, enhancing reliability while safely increasing capacity on the track.
