Adif AV will allocate EUR 23,494,075.07 to the construction of a temporary, removable and reusable car park at Madrid Puerta de Atocha station to temporarily increase the capacity of car park P3 from 931 to 1,357 spaces and compensate for the reduction of spaces planned in the rest of the car parks during the station expansion works.
In addition, the aim is to optimise the surface area, the number and distribution of parking spaces, and the location of the road and pedestrian accesses, minimising the impact on the operation of the current car park.
The construction solution is based on prefabricated metal elements configured entirely in the workshop, assembled on-site without the need for welding, easily dismantled and with the possibility of reusing all the elements that make up the system.
The contract, which has a completion period of 30 months, has been awarded to Torrescamara y CIA de Obras.
In the current P3 car park, a single site will be built with two high-rise buildings, one on the P3A site, with 4 levels, and the other on the P3B site, with 3 levels. A pedestrian walkway will connect the two areas.
The car park as a whole will have 4 main entrances and exits. Two with connection from the large access ramp and two connected to Antonio Nebrija street. In addition, there will be 4 communication cores, all of them with fixed staircases and two of them with a module of 2 lifts each.
The car park will have access control, a parking space guidance and passenger information system, facilities for recharging electric vehicles and a renewable energy production system with a self-consumption photovoltaic installation. It will also have new sanitation, electricity, lighting, telecommunications, security and fire protection installations.
