Two EuroDual locomotives built by Stadler for the Turkish private freight operator Körfez Ulaştırma (a subsidiary of the Tüpraş oil refinery) have been delivered to the port of Derince, near Izmit.

Five more will be shipped in November and December. In 2019, a contract was signed for the supply of seven such locomotives and spare parts for them, as well as the performance of their maintenance by the manufacturer. The six-axle EuroDual locomotives can drive trains weighing up to 2000 tons, operating from a 25 kV AC overhead catenary or diesel. The power of each locomotive is 2.8 MW when using a diesel engine and 6.15 MW when powered by an overhead contact network, the maximum traction force is 500 kN. A similar rolling stock has not been operated in Turkey before.
