As a result of last week's explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant by Russian occupiers, an entire section of railway track sank near Nikopol, 280 kilometres from Nova Kakhovka.

"Thanks to the attentiveness of the Prydniprovia railway workers, no tragedies occurred, suburban trains were cancelled in time, and it will take us about three days to restore them," Ukrainian Railways reported on its Facebook page.

At the moment, suburban train routes to Nikopol from Kryvyi Rih, Apostoliv, and Tymkiv are limited to Chortomlyk. Between Chortomlyk and Nikopol, passengers will be transported by bus for free.
