As Vilnius Railway Station undergoes extensive renovation, an extraordinary piece of history has been unveiled. A brick wall from the 19th century, dating back to the station's original construction in 1860, has been discovered and restored. This remarkable find provides a glimpse into the station's past and can now be admired by passengers and visitors in the newly completed left wing of the building.

The renovation works at Vilnius Station are set to continue throughout the summer, with the focus shifting to the central part of the building. This phase will include the completion of restaurants and cafés, aimed at enhancing the overall passenger experience. Viktorija Makovskienė, Head of Asset Management Services of the Lithuanian Railways Group, emphasizes the goal of creating a multifunctional space that benefits both travellers and the local community.

DP Group, the company responsible for the renovation project, is dedicated to preserving the station's historical charm while modernizing its facilities. The restoration efforts aim to breathe new life into Vilnius Railway Station, providing an inviting and efficient space for travellers. With the unveiling of the rediscovered wall and ongoing renovations, the station is poised to reclaim its position as a cultural landmark and a vital transportation hub.
