Czech company AŽD celebrates achievements in Bulgaria.  It will supply signaling equipment on the railway corridor Sofia - Serbia.

AŽD has signed a contract with the Greek construction company TERNA SA for the supply of signaling equipment for the project "Modernization of the railway line Sofia - Dragoman - Serbian border, “Volujak - Dragoman" section announced based on a public tender by the Railway Infrastructure Manager (NKŽI) ) in Bulgaria. The value of the contract is 31,7 million BGN (approx. CZK 415 million).

"This contract is a key project for AŽD, as it is about securing a prestigious backbone corridor leading from Sofia to the border with Serbia. "We are again ready to demonstrate the high quality of Czech technology and the flexibility of our staff. We are interested in other interesting projects in Bulgaria," says AŽD CEO Zdeněk Chrdle.

For the Czech company AŽD, this is the second contract signed in Bulgaria in recent days. The implementation of the project is being planned for 3.5 years. AŽD acts as a supplier of the fully electronic station signaling equipment ESA 44 - for five railway stations (Dragoman, Aldomirovtsi, Slivnitsa, Petarch, Kostinbrod), 96 electromotive switches type EP-600, 146 signals with LED lamps, as well as axle computers, power supply, cabling, and other outdoor elements.
