Poland will benefit from the Spanish firm's expertise in master planning, design, construction, superstructure assembly, control system installation, security, and telecommunications infrastructure. The contract will also facilitate technical consultation on electric traction for high-speed lines and the transfer of experience in operating high-speed lines in a liberalized railway market. ADIF manages nearly 4,000 kilometers of high-speed lines and is preparing another 1,600 kilometers for construction.

The Polish company CPK is preparing to construct 2,000 km of new railway lines. Feasibility studies are underway for 1,500 kilometers, with some already completed. 600 kilometers of lines have a defined routing in the territory and a selected investment option. The first high-speed line connecting the capital with the future new airport is due to be operational in 2028, with design work already in progress.
