The Colas Rail/Alstom consortium, led by Colas Rail, has signed an agreement with Société du Grand Paris to supply 10 km of track, and line equipment between Le Bourget Airport and Parc des Expositions and the overhead catenary for the 2nd section of the 17th line of the Grand Paris Express metro. The work, which will start by mid-2024, will take place in a tunnel, on a 3km-long viaduct and embankments.

Colas Rail / Alstom has experience in large-scale projects and pays particular attention to environmental preservation, given the environmental impact. According to Alstom, the consortium is committed to "limiting greenhouse gas emissions by supplying low-carbon concrete made from cement produced by reducing energy consumption and rolled rails made from steel produced by a low-energy process" and to establishing stations for recycling and disposal of leftover concrete, using LEDs for tunnel lighting and electric vehicles.
