The merger of the two giants could still be called a new project in the railway industry. The largest forwarding and logistics group in Central and Eastern Europe, the Budamar group, has merged with the Austrian company Innofreight, which operates in 14 countries around the world. It mainly deals with innovative wagons, unloading systems and the containers.
The joint project, Budamar Innovations, will focus on the transport of iron ore from Russia and Ukraine to the Czech Republic. This is probably not the last project of its kind. Other commodities are under negotiations, the transport of these should be optimized by Innofreight's innovative wagons.
