ÖBB Rail Cargo Group is broadening its comprehensive TransNET, introducing a swift and dependable transportation solution between Hungary and the northern Adriatic.
Rijeka's port in Croatia is an essential transhipment hub for Southern, Central, and Southeastern Europe. Optimized for 20- and 40-foot containers, the TransFER Budapest-Rijeka operates two round trips per week between Budapest's BILK terminal and the Rijeka port terminal. From the BILK terminal, antenna connections enable access to other Western European destinations such as Neuss, Vienna, Wels, and Ludwigshafen.
To enhance customer service, RCG opened its own office at the port of Rijeka earlier in the year. The volume of container shipments to and from the Rijeka port has significantly increased, and the presence of a dedicated office allows for more efficient handling from a single point of contact. The Rijeka site offers import and export port agency services, customs clearance for imports, exports, and transit declarations, port operations and scheduling, truck transport to and from Rijeka, waybill preparation (CIM, CMR), and additional services upon request.
