The Swedish company Railcare introduced a novelty to the world. It is a battery-powered maintenance railway vehicle that has hydraulics, vacuum pumps and control cabins. The vehicle is designed to remove obstacles from the tracks. For example, vacuuming stones, garbage or even warming up snow.

The vehicle produces no emissions, yet it is very powerful. To give you an idea, its performance can be compared to thirty electric cars. A welcomed advantage of this vehicle is also significant noise reduction.

The vehicle was developed thanks to a scalable technology platform for batteries and electricity created by company Epiroc. It is the first vehicle of its kind and its creators consider it a milestone for the further development of railway vehicles.
