Alstom has been selected by ČD-Telematika, a key provider in the railway environment for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, to supply ETCS (European Train Control System) Level 2 for seven Pendolino vehicles on Line 680 and 66 electric vehicles on Line 471. Alstom will provide the ETCS system, including the design and implementation, as well as additional national functionalities for operations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

ETCS Level 2 ensures continuous digital radio communication with train movements and offers the highest level of safety protection. It increases train speed, punctuality, and capacity while maintaining safety.
