Alstom has completed the delivery of the complete signalling system for the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Putrajaya Line, the second line of the Klang Valley MRT project in Greater Kuala Lumpur. With the opening of the second phase of the line, which covers 24 stations between Kentonmen and Putrajaya Sentral, the project is expected to serve over 104,000 passengers daily, providing more accessible and seamless connections between the southern suburbs of northwest Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia's federal administrative centre, Putrajaya.

As part of its contract, Alstom was responsible for designing, installing, testing, and commissioning a communications-based train control (CBTC) system that uses its advanced Cityflo™ 650 solution, as well as on-board signalling equipment for the 49 trains and two maintenance vehicles. The company also installed the signalling facilities for a new depot and a backup control centre at Serdang, as part of the line's phase two opening.
