Adif, the company that manages the railway structure, has signed contracts worth EUR 8.85 million. The first contract, worth EUR 3.69 million, was awarded by Adif to the UTE (Temporary Union of Companies) consortium composed of Prointec and TRN Táryet. The second contract worth EUR 2.72 million was signed with a joint venture formed by Peyco Proyectos, Estudios y Construcciones and Inse Rail, and the joint venture Esteyco and Ardanuy Engineering won the third contract worth EUR 2.44 million. The funding will be used to extend the access track to 750 meters across the entire RFIG network to meet the needs of national and international rail traffic.

The first contract, worth EUR 3.69 million, was awarded by Adif to the UTE (Temporary Union of Companies) consortium composed of Prointec and TRN Táryet. The contract timeframe calls for completion of the work, divided into three lots, within two years. The lots correspond to the northern, southern and central-northeastern geographical areas where the selected access routes are located. Their splitting will facilitate the development of rail freight transportation, allowing for the parking and separation of trains of compatible standard length, with the quality and reliability of current service.

The solutions adopted will also contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, among which is the development of reliable, sustainable and high-quality infrastructures.
