The current electrical and mechanical interlockings at Soria and Almazán stations will be replaced with new L905E-type electronic interlockings using Thales technology. In addition, all the equipment (signals, point machines, and train detection systems) and field wiring will be renewed at these stations.
New LED-type signals will be installed at all locations with their respective ASFA Digital beacons. The AzLM Axle counters equipment will be installed as the new train detection system. All existing old and obsolete signaling equipment installed on the track will be dismantled. In addition, the new interlockings will have to be integrated into the Madrid-Chamartín CTC for remote control and remote monitoring.

The execution of the project's works will include the provision of facilities that will allow it to be operated under the single-track Automatic Block Signalling system (ABS) and the use of the ASFA Digital system, thus automating the operation of the section, which is currently carried out manually using the so-called telephone blocking system, and thus increasing the reliability of traffic.
