Adif Alta Velocidad is making significant progress in the development of the high-speed railway line between Castejón and the Pamplona region. This project aims to enhance the mobility of people and goods by providing a sustainable and structurally sound transport system in the Navarre region. One of the main components of this project, the Villafranca-Peralta section, is over 80% complete and expected to be finished in August after an investment of €75.7 million.

Two notable viaducts featured in the section include the Marcilla viaduct and the bridge over the Aragon River, both designed to minimize environmental impact. Additionally, the artificial tunnel of El Montico and the pergola over the AP-15 motorway help to integrate the infrastructure into the environment. The completion of this section will conclude the Castejón-Olite route, encompassing four platform sections of the Castejón-Campanas high-speed line in Navarre.
The Ebro Viaduct, another key component of the Castejón-Comarca de Pamplona route, has attracted bids from 14 companies, with the final awarding phase set to begin following an economic opening this week. The viaduct's design focuses on minimizing the impact on riverside vegetation and maintaining the environmental integrity of the Natura Network.
