Adif and Adif Alta Velocidad are promoting the installation of more than 1,000 electric vehicle charging points in the car parks of 80 passenger stations, thus contributing to the development of sustainable and connected mobility in urban and metropolitan environments.
This initiative promotes clean transport in transfers to and from railway stations and increases passenger services in these spaces, which are set to become nodes of sustainable and intelligent mobility.

With this project, Adif and Adif AV are also committed to the development of electromobility in Spain, by setting up a wide territorial network for charging electric vehicles in all the autonomous regions of the peninsula through which the railway network they manage runs.
Investment of EUR 28.8 million
The contract for the supply, installation, operation and maintenance of the thousand charging points has been tendered for 28.8 million Euro and a 30-month execution period; 24 months of which correspond to the operation and maintenance phase.

Adif and Adif AV climate change strategy
This action is part of Adif and Adif AV's 2018-2030 Plan to Combat Climate Change, which includes the promotion of sustainable mobility and electromobility as a tool to meet the objectives of economic activity decarbonisation.
Specifically, the initiative is based on the Ecomilla programme, which promotes energy-efficient and zero-emission mobility in first and last-mile journeys, through the sustainable mobility areas development for zero-emission vehicles and shared vehicles, among other clean modes of transport.
