Last week, the Slovak national carrier ZSSK took over the last of 51 modernized long-distance passenger cars. All wagons have been modernized in ŽOS Trnava, they will run on the route Žilina - Prague and Bratislava - Košice.

Thanks to the given investment, the value of which is EUR 37.8 million for the carrier's customers, the comfort of travel will increase many times over. All second-class wagons of the Bmeer series have been reconstructed into the Bmz series. Behind the modern look of ZSSK trains is the design company Aufeer Design, which has many years of experience in the railway segment - it has worked with companies such as Czech Railways, Stadler, and Bombardier.

"The new interior of the trains combines modern and traditional elements, a functional environment and a pleasant atmosphere, and passengers have one more reason to give preference to ecological transport. The main goal is to increase the quality of travel, but it is also important to strengthen the positive perception of the brand of the national carrier, "said Roman Koreň, Chairman of the Board of ZSSK.

During the repairs, anti-slip floors, glass door panels, luggage racks, and tables were installed, additional sockets (230 V) with a USB port were added under the seats, and lighting (replacement of new LED interior and taillights) and new vacuum toilets were replaced.

The advantages of the innovated wagons are also air conditioning with power regulation and a CO2 monitoring system in the passenger compartment depending on the occupancy of the wagon, wi-fi internet connection, fire detection system, or electronic reservation system.

As part of the modernization of wagons, the national carrier was inspired by the rich culture, history, and natural heritage of Slovakia
