JSC Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) is expanding its railroad network between Ukraine and Poland by adding groups of cars from Kharkiv and Kyiv to Przemyśl and Chełm.

At the same time, it was clarified that starting February 19, the group of cars will depart from Kharkiv as part of the train No. 17 Kharkiv-Uzhhorod (the number of the group of cars from Kharkiv is No. 73/74) at odd dates at 14:07 and arrive in Kyiv at 21:04.

From Kyiv, the cars in train No. 89/90 will depart for Przemyśl, where the train arrives at 11:13. In the opposite direction, starting February 20, the train will depart from Przemyśl on even dates at 13:45 and arrive in Kharkiv at 10:01

"This train will provide Kharkiv residents with a daily connection to Poland, as the train No. 93/94 Kharkiv-Chelm, launched several months ago, will depart from Kharkiv on even days," Ukrzaliznytsia stated in the press release.

Moreover, the number of seats to Chełm from Kyiv will be increased due to additional cars. The group of cars No. 19/20 Kyiv-Chelm will depart as part of train No. 67/68 Kyiv-Warsaw at 18:14 daily.

In Yahodyna, they will be disconnected from the Warsaw train and arrive in Chełm at 4:55. In turn, train No. 67/68 arrives in Warsaw at 10:12. On the way back from Warsaw, train No. 67/68 will depart at 17:45; from Chełm, train No. 19/20 will depart at 23:45. The full train arrives in Kyiv at 12.07.

It is noted that passengers of train No. 19/20, upon arrival in Chełm, can conveniently transfer to the Polish train IC67, which arrives in Warsaw at 10:12. Also in the opposite direction: Polish train IC68 departs from Warsaw at 17:45 and arrives in Chełm at 21:10. Tickets for Polish trains can be purchased in advance online on the Polish Railways website.

It will open 72 additional seats from Kharkiv to Przemysl and 256 seats from Kyiv to Chełm, from where passengers can get to Warsaw.

Ukrzaliznytsia clarified that tickets for the newly appointed trains are already available in the Ukrzaliznytsia app, chatbot, on the website, and at the station ticket offices.

Earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia reported a rush demand for tickets for the train No. 67/68 Kyiv-Warsaw-Kyiv, for which up to 20 thousand requests are recorded daily with 180 seats available, and advised passengers travelling to Poland to also consider the availability of trains to Przemysl and Chełm. Ukrzaliznytsia has also changed the system of selling tickets returned by passengers for this train. Now they go on sale online one day before the next flight between 08:00 and 09:00.
