ZSSK also plans to purchase a total of nine push-pull diesel sets. These should run between Zvolen and Žilina and also Margecany, Fiľakovo, and Košice. Last but not least, six four-story EMU cars are to be purchased, which are intended for suburban services in Bratislava.

In addition to the purchase of new rolling stock, there should be a modernization of cars within the existing rolling stock. 15 EMU Stadler cars should be upgraded. These are designed for the Tatra electric railway. ZSSK will also lease a total of seven double-decker diesel push-pull train sets. These sets are designed for the Bratislava-Komárno line.
