Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki along with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Janša, and Polish Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński went by train to the battling Kyiv. The visit was being prepared for many days, but for security reasons, it was kept secret until the last minute.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki along with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Janša, and Polish Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński went by train to the battling Kyiv. The visit was being prepared for many days, but for security reasons, it was kept secret until the last minute.

Being the representatives of the European Council, the leaders of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia governments traveled to the capital of Ukraine, which the occupying units of the Russian army are currently trying to surround and conquer. In Kyiv, they met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

The visit was organized in consultation with the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

The train with politicians just arrive in Poland, informer Piotr Müller, government spokesman and Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland.
