The Golden Eagle Danube Express has a capacity of up to 62 passengers and offers some of the best sleeper rooms in continental Europe. On 2 May 2015, the Danube Express officially became the Golden Eagle Danube Express after its operation was taken over by Golden Eagle Luxury Trains of the UK. The renaming ceremony was attended, among others, by Prince Michael of Kent.
The Golden Eagle Danube Express consists of seven sleeper cars, a saloon car and two dining cars. Four sleeper cars have Deluxe cabins, while the three new ones have Superior Deluxe cabins.
The train's routes are planned through the most essential places in Europe, including Budapest, Vienna, Prague and Sarajevo. Tours via the Golden Eagle Danube Express are also fully inclusive, making them a truly carefree adventure.

Accommodation
All passengers will find bathrobes, slippers, towels and luxurious L'Occitane toiletries in their cabins. Each carriage is in charge of a member of the service staff, who will make the beds in the evening and bring morning coffee or tea to the cabin in the morning on request.
Superior Deluxe cabins
The twelve newest cabins of the Golden Eagle Danube Express are called Superior Deluxe. These spacious cabins feature a large double bed that converts to a sofa during the day for passenger comfort.
Other amenities include two windows, a wardrobe, a safe, a table and two chairs. The bathroom has a shower, sink, toilet and towel warmer. These cabins also have remote-controlled air conditioning and heating, electrical outlets, USB ports and WiFi.

Deluxe cabins
Deluxe cabins are also quite spacious and comfortable. Each cabin has two beds, arranged in an L-shape, which convert into a settee during the day. The private bathroom includes a shower, sink, toilet and towel warmer. There is also a small wardrobe above one of the beds, a safe, a locker, electrical sockets and a luggage rack. However, storage space is limited, and travellers must take this into account, especially in the bathroom.
Catering
The two dining cars seat 42 people each. The dining cars are attractive and comfortable and offer tables for two or four people. One is decorated in green and cream, the other is crimson and beige. The tables are set with white tablecloths, crystal glass and china with the Golden Eagle Luxury Trains' double-headed eagle logo.
Breakfast is served on board. Passengers can choose from a buffet of fruit, pastries, cereals, cold cuts and cheese. A hot breakfast (omelette, French toast, bacon, sausage) is available on request.
Meals on board are usually three courses with meat and vegetarian options. Dinners on board include cheese and fruit. Carefully selected wines are paired with the lunch and dinner menus.

Lounge
The lounge car has approximately 30 seats, which is not enough to fill the entire capacity of the train. However, it rarely happens that all passengers visit the lounge simultaneously. However, all drinks are included in the tour price. A pianist entertains the evening in the lounge, and the bar car remains open until the last guest has left.
