photo: Slovenske železnice /Slovenian railways boast about new trains: Increased comfort and quality of service for passengers!
The new trains offer passengers more comfort and functionality, they have faster acceleration and can reach travel speeds of up to 140 and 160 km/h. They are modern, spacious trains that facilitate barrier-free boarding for persons with reduced mobility – all trains have a pull-out step and an additional mobile ramp for wheelchairs. There is a modern passenger information system available throughout the train, which is also adapted for passengers with visual and hearing impairments.
The trains also feature power sockets, free Wi-Fi, more space for bicycle transport, large panoramic windows, spacious toilet facilities adapted for people with reduced mobility, changing tables, etc. The environmental aspect is also important, as these trains are very energy-efficient. The new trains make an important contribution to the quality of passenger transport services provided by Slovenian Railways and, at the same time, to public transport in Slovenia.
