The President of the Office of Rail Transport has officially agreed to open access for passenger rail transport to the Czech carrier RegioJet on the line from Warsaw via Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels to the final Ostende railway station in Belgium and back. The decision is valid until 2026.
According to an application submitted by the Czech carrier in the spring of this year, the set for this service will consist of 6-8 passenger cars with a Siemens Vectron or Bombardier Traxx locomotive. Confirmed that RegioJet will provide one pair of trains per day, stopping at the following stations: Warszawa Wschodnia, Warszawa Centralna, Warszawa Zachodnia, Łowicz Główny, Kutno, Konin, Września, Poznań Główny, Świebodzin, Rzepin, Frankfurt, Berlin Ostbahnhof, Berlin Hbf., Hannover, Amsterdam Centraal, Schiphol, Den Haag HS, Rotterdam Centraal, Roosendaal, Antwerpen-Centraal, Brussel-Central, Brussel-Zuid, Gent-Sint-Pietres, Brugge, Oostende.
The decision issued also determines that it is only possible to board in the direction of Belgium and on the return trip to Warsaw - only getting off, i.a. passengers from Poland will only be able to use international connections.
