- a confirmation of the PESEL number of the person who crossed the border after February 24, 2022, or
- a personal train ticket for a passage from Ukraine to Poland, or
- certificate for a citizen of Ukraine to issue a train ticket.
In addition to the documents indicated above, persons with disabilities or reduced mobility (concerns men aged 18-60) will have to show documents proving disability (Ukrainian documents are also valid).
New travel rules from June 1
From June 1, the rules of issuing free tickets for refugees from Ukraine will change. Until now, Ukrainian citizens could travel on PKP Intercity trains throughout Poland. From the beginning of June, they will be able to do so only to and from cities located near our eastern border, i.e. Chełm, Dorohusk, Lublin, Hrubieszów, Przemyśl Zagórze, Jarosław and Rzeszów.

Any eligible citizen of Ukraine can collect a ticket for direct connections to a given destination, as well as travel on more than one train. The national carrier reminds us that rail travel to Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria or Hungary outside the territory of Poland is carried out under the rules adopted by foreign railroads.
