Polish state rail carrier PKP Intercity modernized the visual design of its website. At the same time, it reports an increase in online ticket sales abroad, especially to Austria and the Czech Republic.
Carrier's corporate website surprised clients in Poland with a new design, structure, and improved smartphone design. The refreshed website has a changed information section and improves its functionality. It also considers the requirements of people with disabilities. The whole site, based on large graphics and photos, which, inspired by minimalism, makes the site clearer and makes the experience more accessible.
"PKP Intercity's calling card is not only its modern fleet but also its overall service to passengers. For this reason, we decided to design a new website that meets the needs of our customers today - said Marek Chraniuk, Chairman of the Board of PKP Intercity.
Recently, the carrier has registered increased popularity of traveling abroad. The number of passengers increased thanks to special offers within the Super Promo International discount promotion to Austria and the Czech Republic, which got launched in online sales in the second half of this year. The upgrade is also to get applied to flights to Slovakia and Hungary in the upcoming days.
"This is another option designed with customers in mind that has been very well received. This fact, recently confirmed by the online sales of 10,000 tickets to and from Austria and the Czech Republic. The implementation of the offer in the e-IC online sales system has made travel planning much easier. Now, customers can buy special tickets online for three countries, but that's not all. We plan to expand the offer to other countries. We want Hungary and Slovakia to be on this list by the end of the first trimester of 2022," said Tomasz Gontarz, member of the PKP Intercity Management Board.
