The Taniej z Bliskimi offer, introduced in July last year, has proved to be a sales hit for PKP Intercity. It has already sold 2 million tickets, enabling more than 5 million passengers to travel around Poland more cheaply. This and other offers from the national carrier can be purchased via remote sales channels, which have been successively developed since the middle of the year. These include such websites and applications as Koleo, mPay or e-podróżnik. To date, the company has sold more than 1.5 million tickets through them.

PKP Intercity is developing its ticket offer and providing travellers with promotions that allow them to significantly reduce their travel costs. One of these is Taniej z Bliskimi. Introduced in July 2022, the offer allows purchasing a ticket with a 30% discount. To take advantage of it, one needs to travel in a group of two to six people on domestic trains of the IC or TLK category and purchase your ticket one day before departure at the latest. Tickets are available 30 days before departure at ticket offices and online channels. Importantly, the offer is combined with statutory concessions, allowing parents with children or a group of students to significantly reduce the cost of travel. After seven months of its operation, 2 million tickets have already been sold, benefiting more than 5 million travellers.
In addition to the ticket offer, the national carrier is developing remote sales channels. It is part of its development strategy, which aims to streamline and simplify the process of serving travellers. Poles are most keen to buy tickets online, which is why the possibility of buying them for travel on PKP Intercity trains started to appear systematically on the mPay, e-podróżnik.pl and Koleo platforms in 2022. Today, the limit of 1.5 million tickets sold in the aforementioned channels has been exceeded.

A satisfying journey starts at the ticket purchase stage, which is why we are improving this stage. Cooperation with external partners is possible thanks to the introduction of a policy of standardised commercial terms and conditions, which PKP Intercity introduced in the autumn of 2021. The new agency sales model is distinguished by uniform commercial terms and conditions for each partner, and this greatly simplifies the formal issues involved in starting cooperation. Agency sales are a great convenience for those who use mixed transport – thanks to them, tickets from different carriers can be purchased in one application.
