Ukrainians will still be able to use TLK and IC economy second-class trains for free until March 31. The current rules for crossing the Ukrainian-Polish border were introduced on February 26, two days after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began.
These trips are made based on any document confirming Ukrainian citizenship and a ticket for a free seat, obtained at the ticket office or from the conductor.
Today, more than 919 thousand Ukrainian citizens seeking temporary shelter in European countries have used the services of PKP Intercity. More than 333 thousand passengers traveled from the border areas to Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, and Katowice. Beyond the Polish borders, Ukrainians go to Berlin, Prague, and Vienna.
