"Most people now go from the west to Kyiv. Almost all such trains are over 95% full. We estimated that at least 11,000 people return to Kyiv every day by rail alone,” Oleksandr Kamyshin said. He also stressed that passengers are returning from abroad by rail to Ukraine. From 1 to 11 May, at least 10 thousand passengers from Europe have already returned by rail.
"In May, Ukrzaliznytsia transported 250,000 passengers, of which only 10,000 by evacuation trains, which is no more than 4%. As of yesterday, we had 177 people traveling from Pokrovsk to Lviv and 30,000 regular passengers. It means that people are returning to ordinary life and the normal functioning of the railway," explained the chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia.
