ÖBB is currently performing construction work to maintain and modernize its facilities, which includes the renewal of platforms and access ramps at Haidestraße station and work on the tracks' subgrade.
Due to this, the S80 line trains will not run between Vienna Central Station and Stadlau from July 29, 2022 (23:30) to September 4, 2022 (00:50). Passengers can use the REX8 and R81 lines instead, but the Wien Haidestraße and Praterkai stops cannot be served. Passengers can switch to the Wiener Linien using a valid ÖBB ticket.

In addition, construction work is also taking place in the City of Vienna between Schottentor and Aspernstraße stations until September 4, 2022. As a result, U2 trains will only run between these two stations. To compensate, ÖBB is providing a shuttle service every 15 minutes on the S80 line between Vienna Stadlau and Vienna Aspern North from July 29 to September 4. This service offers twice as many trains, which will operate daily between 05:00 and 0:30.
To avoid inconvenience, ÖBB recommends that passengers check their planned connections beforehand. They can get more information through the timetable information SCOTTY, route information, ÖBB app, and ÖBB Kund:innenservice by calling 05-1717.
