Did you know that on the route from Prague to Cheb, you can travel in the new carriages from the company České dráhy, branded as InterJet? These long-distance carriages are based on the Siemens Viaggio Comfort platform and can reach top speeds of up to 200 km/h. Notably, the InterJet units are the first carriages in Central Europe fitted with special windows to ensure robust mobile signal reception within the train.
These units consist of five non-traction carriages connected by semi-permanent rod couplings. One innovative feature is an open front wall with pressure-tight sliding doors, enabling passages between the carriages. This pressure-tight design not only protects passengers from pressure changes or ear discomfort when passing through tunnels but also maintains a quiet and clean atmosphere inside the carriages over time.
