Following a successful first half of 2024, Flix is set to expand its operations into new markets, including Mexico, as it builds on record-breaking growth.

In 2023, the company achieved revenues of EUR 2 billion and transported 81 million passengers. Now, Flix plans to enter Mexico’s well-established bus market, valued at EUR 6-8 billion, in the first half of 2025. "With our technology platform, experience, and the strength of our global brand, I'm confident we will provide Mexican customers with a 21st-century travel experience," said André Schwämmlein, CEO and co-founder of Flix.

Flix continues to strengthen its position across Europe, offering new domestic services in Norway and expanding its network across Sweden, Finland, and Portugal. In Ukraine, Flix added 19 new stops, raising the total to 92, and several new stops were also added in the Czech Republic, including Prague Airport. The company’s train division, FlixTrain, expanded its network by 40% in 2024, reflecting increased demand for eco-friendly, long-distance travel options in Germany.

Sustainability remains a core focus for Flix, with several electric and biofuel bus projects launched in 2024. Electric buses now operate in the UK, Portugal, and Chile, with biofuel buses being tested in France and Italy. These initiatives align with Flix’s long-term goal of achieving zero operational emissions in Europe by 2040 and globally by 2050.
