With the new winter schedule from December 12, FlixTrain will add ten new stops to its network, including Bonn, Koblenz and Mainz. In spring 2022, almost 20 further destinations will be added to the network, such as Dresden, Kassel, Karlsruhe and Freiburg. Therefore, by summer 2022, around 70 German cities will be part of the FlixTrain network.
"After we connected all of Germany's regions to FlixTrain’s network last summer, our main concern was to improve the connection between the stops," says André Schwämmlein, co-founder and CEO of FlixMobility. "We think that schedules and networks need to be determined by travelers. That’s why we're adding important connections that our passengers have been missing." The upcoming FlixTrain network offers numerous new direct connections, for example from Munich or Frankfurt to Cologne.
As of now, tickets for FlixTrain trips from December 12 can be booked. From this day on, the new FlixTrain timetable, with ten new stops and nearly 100 departures per week, is live. New additions to the network include Bonn, Koblenz, and Mainz. In spring, almost 20 destinations, such as Dresden, Kassel, Karlsruhe, and Freiburg, will be added. The new FlixTrain connection between Hamburg and Stuttgart will start in 2022 as well. "By next summer there will be around 70 destinations within the FlixTrain network. This clearly demonstrates that we are helping to shape the future of train travel in Germany and will continue to do so," Schwämmlein added.
