The company's headquarters is at Frauenfeld, Switzerland. ELP understandably targets rail operators and logistics companies throughout Europe. Its spectrum of services includes full-service leasing of modern, innovative locomotives.
The ELP full-service leasing package provides a comprehensive maintenance and insurance deal, as well as the possibility to customize the exterior of the locomotives in the corporate colors of the rentee or/and their target customer. Starting Q2/2023, ELP will launch the next-generation dual locomotive, the Euro9000. This locomotive got created as a multi-system locomotive for use on European corridors through numerous countries. The first version will get delivered with 1.9MW diesel power and 9MW electric power at 500kN tractive effort with complete approvals for Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, and Switzerland. Subsequently, the locomotive's operational area will get extended to other countries and corridors of Europe.

evb Logistik decides for another EuroDual from European Loc Pool!
Zeven/Frauenfeld 22.11.21, after Kratos, which was handed over by European Loc Pool to Eisenbahnen und Verkehrsbetriebe Elbe-Weser GmbH (evb) in September, evb has decided in favor of another EuroDual from ELP."
Sebastian Doderer, head of evb's logistics division, states: "We have had a great experience with Kratos, our first EuroDual locomotive from ELP. The locomotive is a perfect fit for the intended transport services. Both the performance spectrum and the flexible deployment options have convinced us."
In addition to cost efficiency, sustainability, and flexibility, evb also values the opinion of its employees, who rate the locomotive's maneuvering complexity as extremely easy. "Continuing to push the development of hybrid locomotives and marketing them accordingly. That is ELP's strategic goal, which we will continue to pursue in the future," says Emiel Knarren, Chief Commercial Officer of ELP.
The EuroDual will be utilized by evb for timber and intermodal transport within Germany and possibly in Austria in the future. The EuroDual locomotive is leased long-term from ELP under a full-service lease. The second EuroDual locomotive, called Zelos after the Greek deity of eager striving, will already be handed over to evb by ELP this month.
